Children’s Ministries

VBS July 31 – August 4, 2017

This is a wonderful time to teach our children the meaning of “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all,” and “‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” The opportunities to share in this exciting adventure, we call VBS, are many and we encourage you to sign your child/children up today and email Dena at to find out how to become involved!
Our first goal – we need creative folks to create a rain forest right here at MPC!

G1kids, God’s First Kids!

Mid-Week Children’s Program

We are meeting once a month during the summer and
will resume this exciting and growing program in the fall of 2017.
MPC is hosting the mid-week program for children grades K-5, called “G1Kids”.  It runs 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Education Building.  It includes dinner ($2.00 per child), games, activities and a Bible lesson.

Registration is required.

<<< You can register online by clicking here >>>

Or you can download a paper copy of the form by clicking here, complete it, and mail or bring it to the church office.

You can also share the news by downloading informative postcards here and sharing them with your children’s friends at school and in the neighborhood.
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
G1kids is a very special group of children! If you’ve ever had a desire to “check out” the children’s ministry with no strings attached, then Wednesday evenings are the perfect match for you. You may just want to observe what in the world is happening as 20 children play duck, duck goose (or as we say, G1, G1, G1, KIDS!), sing songs that encourage scripture memorization, dance like no-ones watching, play games that are usually silly and end in teamwork from kindergartners through 5th graders and most importantly they learn that they have a Savior, in every sense of the word, and He truly loves them.

Good News Clubs

good-news-club-logoGood News Clubs will resume in the fall of 2017
Tommie Barfield Elementary School, Tuesdays, 2:50 – 4:30 pm
Click here to download and print a permission slip.  Fill it out, sign it and then give it to your child’s teacher, or turn it into the school office, or bring it to club for the first meeting.
This club is an awesome way for our dedicated leaders to reach those children who don’t have the opportunity to attend church on Sunday mornings. We would love to see more part time or full time leaders become involved. “Guiding and sharing the love of Jesus with these children is a privilege and more of a blessing to the leaders than to the children”, reports a leader. Please contact Dena at with the Tuesday afternoons that work best for you or if you just have questions about Good News Club and/or our many opportunities to share Jesus with the next generation.
