Mercy Ministry

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Colossians 3:17)

Mercy Ministry at Marco Presbyterian Church is sharing the love of God by moving together toward those who are lonely, hurting, and needing help through word and deed as Jesus modeled.

We minister to the body of Christ and the community by offering tangible help to people in the power of the Holy Spirit in the following areas:
  • Visiting in homes, nursing homes or the hospital
  • Providing financial assistance and training for those in need
  • Transporting to doctor appointments for those members in need of a ride or a companion
  • Minor home repairs for those with limited means or knowledge
  • Helping with minor vehicle maintenance for those with limited means or knowledge
  • Providing meals to those who experience illness or trial

Every believer can be a provider of mercy!   Are you ready to exercise your gift?  Won’t you join us in sharing God’s mercy by serving in these areas and more, as we step up in faith to serve God and others.

Please contact Paul Flores if you would like to exercise your gift of mercy or learn more.

What is Stephen Ministry?

We equip lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one, distinctively Christian care to individuals in our congregation who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.

We ask that our MPC family:

  • Pray for the Lord to bring hope and healing to hurting people through our Stephen Ministry,
  • Accept care from a Stephen Minister in your time of need,
  • Tell someone who might be hurting about our Stephen Ministry program, and
  • Consider becoming a Stephen Minister

JOY (Jesus Others & You) Connection

The idea for “JOY Connection” group was sparked by one of our sweet widows who has difficulty getting out early to Bible studies and does not feel comfortable driving alone at night.

JOY connection meets each month on the 4th Wednesday (except in December) in the Fellowship Hall from 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm.

ALL ladies are welcome to share their JOY over lunch and fellowship.  Options for fellowship include:  Bible Study/Devotion/Prayer or playing games or conversations or working on various projects like making prayer shawls or helping with Operation Christmas child or viewing a Christian movie.  Our goals is to be an encouragement to our wonderful widows and all of our Christian sisters. A love offering will be collected to cover the cost of lunch.
