WELCOME

Marco Students is a place where every student can experience the gospel of grace. It’s our dear desire that today’s generation will have a tangible understanding of God’s grace and how it changes us, our church, our island, and our world. We exist to lead our students through the Gospel, live in a community devoted to one another, and love Marco Island by sacrificially giving of our time, resources and talents.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

During the 9:00am hour, there is Sunday School available in the Youth Room of the Education Building. We also value corporate worship and encourage families and students to worship together on Sunday mornings during our 10:30am service.

MARCO STUDENTS PROGRAMS

Any student in 6th through 12th grade can attend Marco Students, where we value relational connections and love to see our members and attenders come alongside our students.

COAST WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Marco Students gather weekly for games, worship, a time of teaching from the Word, and Small Groups for both girls and boys. COAST is designed to help teenagers grow in four key areas:

SPEND TIME WITH GOD
SPEND TIME WITH OTHERS
USE THEIR GIFTS
SHARE THEIR STORY

SMALL GROUPS

Small Groups happen every week during our programs, but also on weekends throughout each month. Small Groups are gender based and are designed to connect every teenager with a trustworthy adult and a community of their peers. Our goal is that the relationships that are built within these groups during weekly program and other times of the month would help students to continue to build their relationship with God and others.

EVENTS

Throughout the year, we’ll host several big events designed to help teenagers connect with their peers and Life Group leaders. Events are often when teenagers will walk into our ministry for the first time.

WE SCREEN VOLUNTEERS

Before any volunteer is permitted to serve with us, they undergo a rigorous application and interview process, including criminal background check.

WE SET BOUNDARIES

We have set a number of guidelines for our youth ministry staff and volunteers. As a parent, you can help us make sure your child is well-cared for by helping us maintain these boundaries.

No staff member or volunteer should meet one-on-one with a student of the opposite gender.
No staff member or volunteer should transport a student of the opposite gender in a vehicle alone. If a student needs a ride, we must arrange to have another adult or student accompany them.
All staff members and volunteers must maintain appropriate physical boundaries with students at all times.

SAFETY IS A PRIORITY

We have a Child Safe Policy Manual that is given to every volunteer that you are welcome to see at any time that covers everything from leader/student interaction to social media conduct for volunteers.
