OUR BELIEFS

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Marco Church is a people who trust God in the monumental and the mundane. Our heart posture toward God is one of humility and confidence. We agree with author Tim Keller that “It is not the strength of your faith but the object of your faith that actually saves you. Strong faith in a weak branch is fatally inferior to weak faith in a strong branch.”

We are Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith, and Obedient to the Great Commission. Find out more about our denomination here.

THE BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God.

TRINITY

We believe in the Trinity. There is one God who exists eternally in three Persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

SINNERS

We believe that all people are sinners and therefore are separated from God spiritually. We are totally unable to save ourselves by ourselves.

SAVES

We believe that God alone saves the people whom He draws to Jesus by His Holy Spirit. He convinces us of our sin and enlightens us so that we repent of our sins and trust in Jesus Christ as He is offered in the Gospel. Because God alone knows who are His, we call on people everywhere to repent and to trust in Jesus Christ.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became man and lived and died and rose again to atone for the sins of those who trust Him alone for their salvation. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that God’s Holy Spirit gives Christians the daily strength and wisdom we need to walk according to His Will, to grow in holiness, and tell others about the Gospel.

OUR WORK

God gives gifts and talents, opportunities and experiences to His people to glorify God in our work. There is no sacred and secular divide in our vocations, but rather God is glorified in and through good work and good workers. A beautiful lawn, creative dinner, and thriving business can all bring honor to God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

THE FUTURE

Jesus will return bodily to restore the world and all who believe. “He will establish the new heavens and the new earth. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore…” Revelation 21:1,4
