We believe that relationships cultivate safety, trust, intimacy, and a sense of belonging. We further believe that relationships in the church are the best place to explore living as Christians, and living as Christians together.
As we see Jesus and connect to his community, the Church, the natural outflow from that is growth. In Ephesians chapter 2:22, Paul compares the Church to a structure that is being “built.” As we traverse our life with Christ and the family of God our aim is that we might become more and more like the one who called us and loved us enough to give his life for us. At Marco Church we believe growth happens as we come back to the good news of who Jesus is and who we are in Him.
As we continue to grow in Christ the Bible tells us that we will become more like Christ in our words, attitudes, and actions. One of the ways we know we have been changed by Jesus is that we are willing to serve like Jesus. This is not a statement of guilt because none of us are perfectly serving like he did. However, just as Jesus called His disciples to follow Him in faith, he also called them to follow Him in serving one another. Why? Because he loves us.
